Terri B. Jones: Turning Problems Into Purpose and Passive Income

When Terri B. Jones was told by a teacher that her handwriting was unreadable and she’d need to type all future assignments, it stung. But that challenge sparked a lifelong shift. “I didn’t just learn how to type—I learned how to transform that problem into my purpose,” she says. What began as a personal obstacle became the launchpad for a career devoted to creativity, community, and entrepreneurship.

Today, Terri equips children, teens, and adults to turn their ideas into income. Through books, board games, youth ministry workshops, and digital products, she teaches others to build what she calls “frameworks from problems.” Her four-week workshop, Can I Have Some Money, Mama?, teaches kids financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and life skills. When one of her 10-year-old students sold her first book, Terri knew she was on the right path. “I don’t just camp out with my problems,” she says. “I build frameworks from them that help others move forward, too.”
